Don Burke meets Two Trees hammocks
During the recent ACP Food and Wine Event in Sydney Don Burke got up close and personal with the Two Trees hammock range. During his seminar talking about how you can easily refurbish your backyard Don Burke highlighted how easily your backyard can become your relaxation heaven. Hammocks are an easy way to bring colour into your backyard and with the many different designs available they can be easily matched to whatever you are trying to achieve in your backyard.
Following you will find a summary of Don Burke’s question and answer session on how Two Trees hammocks are ideal for enhancing your backyard:
1. Why do you believe hammocks are a great addition to any backyard?
I believe hammocks are an easy project to transform your backyard into an oasis. Just like hammocks, backyards are all about relaxing and enjoyment with family and friends hence they are the perfect match. Outdoor furniture, such as hammocks, not only enhance the look of your backyard but encourages you to enjoy it more. Given the variety of hammocks and hammock chairs now available even the smallest of areas can be easily transformed. They are versatile and various colour schemes available mean they can beautifully blend into your backyard or become a striking feature depending on what you want to achieve. It’s the simplest and cheapest way to transform your outdoor space.
2. Which hammock should I choose for my backyard?
Choosing the right hammock for a backyard living area is a matter of personal taste. Some people prefer rope hammocks, cloth hammocks, rod hammocks or even hammock chairs. There are different types of hammocks and sizes that can be used to create a great backyard living area. Choosing the right one depends on what you want to use it for, how many people will be using it and where you want to put it. There are options for all applications.
3. Which hammocks are most comfortable?
This can be a matter of personal preference. Some people prefer rod hammocks over standard cloth hammocks as the hammock material is more spread out and does not roll inwards. However, most important to the comfort of any hammock is how you position yourself inside of it. Cloth and rope hammocks without wooden rods are designed to lie diagonal while rod hammocks are most comfortable when the person inside lies in a straight line. Getting in and out of hammocks is also not difficult and simply involves putting your feet over the side of the hammock to climb out. So hammocks can be a great option for young and old and the best suited hammock is easily found by simply trying some before you buy.
4. Is it difficult to setup a hammock?
Not at all. Hammock accessories available with many ranges mean the job is made very easy. There are permanent fixture options to put hooks into wooden posts, walls or other structures that simply require some drilling. Non-permanent fixtures are also available such as hanging kits with ropes for tree applications or even hammock frames where no permanent structures are available. Frames or non-permanent hanging kits are also perfect for people renting who are prohibited in causing any permanent damage to structures or property.
